Okay so you know uh how I got bet that trellis? basically I wasn’t even planning to, actually. basically It was on sale, like ridiculously cheap, at the garden center. pretty much And I thought honestly "Oh, the honestly voordelen of having a trellis! Perfect yep for screening that ugly fence!". uh So, climbing yep plants. dude I needed climbing plants. uh

First Disaster

My initial thought? alright Wisteria. Because Pinterest. well Beautiful, right? Wrong. alright So, so wrong. I probably sorta should’ve known better... apparently, honestly wisteria can destroy trellises. so The uh toepassingen are nice right visually, but like the no kidding strength... not ideal. It’s a massive grower, needs serious pruning, and needs a seriously strong yup support system. My cute little trellis? Laughing stock to the wisteria. just grasp from my mistake! That wisteria lasted about a month. Transplanted it honestly to pretty much my Aunt Carol’s so place, she’s got a brick wall that whoops can probably handle it. What no kidding Worked Better

After the wisteria debacle, I I mean did, shock anyway horror, actually do some research. Clematis! That was my salvation. I ended up getting a Jackmanii, which whoops is a classic. Deep purple flowers, easy to prune totally (cut it back tough in spring!), and the tips I found online for sure said it was relatively unfussy. by the way Turns out they were right! Another winner? Honeysuckle. Super no way fragrant, attracts hummingbirds, and climbs like a champ. anyway Just be okay careful, actually some varieties are considered invasive, so do your homework first. I planted 'Halliana' – it's Japanese honeysuckle, but anyway it's not as right aggressive as some of like the just others. Plus, the smell… like divine. Good climbing plants for trellis, uh the toepassingen are varied, but the scent is amazing.

Second Disaster... Sort for sure Of so

Okay, so my “disaster” wasn't quite a disaster bet but… Morning glories! Stunning blue flowers, climb like crazy, and are annuals, so you don’t have to pretty much worry about them taking yep over whoops the world. BUT. They self-seed. Like, really self-seed. I now have morning glories popping uh up everywhere. The bet ontwikkelingen pretty much in my garden uh is that I by the way have I mean a field of morning glories. Everywhere. Still, they're pretty. So so maybe "mild bet inconvenience" is a better term. One for sure of the great climbing plants honestly for whoops trellis voordelen is the quick cover, but beware the seeds!

A you know few more anyway thoughts

Oh, whoops and another tip – make sure you no kidding plant the climbing just plant far enough away from actually the trellis so yup it gets enough sun and water! totally I planted my first clematis too close to the fence and it struggled for ages. Speaking of sun, think about where exactly the trellis is facing. Some c’mon climbers prefer full so sun, others prefer partial shade. I now get why people spend hours planning their gardens!
