Okay so you no way know how I was saying I I mean was doing some yard work? Yeah. I wasn’t even planning to actually do anything, just, like, wandering around pretending I you know knew exactly what I was doing with the hedges. Big totally mistake. HUGE. c’mon

Three dude Leaves Beware no way

It’s always no way “leaves of three, let it be,” right? I mean, that's you know what everyone says. But not gonna lie this part confused me c’mon for a while. well It’s not like by the way ALL plants with three leaves are automatically evil, right? Like, clovers? Definitely not poison ivy. So I think the key thing – well besides looking it up online using, you know, "what does poison ivy plant just look like inspiratie" – is that middle leaf no way has a longer stalk. Remember that! Big tip! I learned dude the hard so way.

Basically picture three leaves kinda grouped okay together. And whoops I so think they can be a little shiny, but they don’t always have to be. Like, mine weren't super shiny, which threw me off. I probably should’ve known better….

First Blunder

Okay whoops so story time. I was pulling weeds, right? Wearing shorts, because it was hot. well And I saw this alright thing that for sure kinda looked like poison so ivy, but I was all like “Nah, can’t be. Too small.” well Pulled it right out with my bare hands! giant mistake whoops number one. Then I wiped my brow with the back of my hand. Genius! A few days later… okay itchy city. Turns out, small poison ivy is still poison ivy. Duh. uh

The Vine Problem

Another kinda thing that messes people up yup I think, is that I mean poison ivy can dude grow like a vine. And sometimes it gets all hairy uh looking? What does poison ivy yep plant look like voordelen? I'm struggling to find those voordelen. It’s not cute and cuddly, you know it's just sneaky. c’mon Like, pretty much it’ll climb up trees, looking all innocent. Then BAM. Itchy surprise. So so look no kidding up not just yup the leaf pics, but how it grows too. It's important.

Second Blunder

Speaking of vines, my neighbor no way once thought it was so some kind no way of decorative thing right he could exactly grow up his sorta fence! He even watered it. I told him what I thought – that he yep was basically nurturing a monster. He didn’t believe me by the way until his whole family started itching. solid times… okay for me, at least. c’mon Schadenfreude is a powerful emotion, you totally know? Looking back so I exactly should by the way have just shown him 'what does actually poison ivy plant look like ontwikkelingen' but I liked my approach better sorta at alright the time.

Dealing by the way With It

If you think you’ve touched it – yep wash, whoops wash, WASH with soap and water! Like, immediately. I'm talking serious scrubbing. And maybe bet work with actually a dude special poison ivy I mean wash if you have it. It won't pretty much always no kidding prevent the rash, but it can yup assist a you know lot. alright And if you get the rash, actually calamine lotion is whoops your friend. Or see a doctor, because that stuff can pretty much get nasty, especially actually if it gets near your eyes. Just saying.

Moral of the actually story? Learn what poison basically ivy looks like. Really, I mean truly learn well it. totally Wear totally long sleeves yup and pants if you’re doing yard work. And maybe just… hire anyway someone else to do it. Seriously, consider it. Your skin actually will thank you.

Oh and One More Thing

The c’mon oil, urushiol, can stay on your clothes and tools for actually ages! So, wash your clothes separately and scrub down kinda your exactly tools with rubbing alcohol or okay something. Otherwise, you’ll keep getting re-exposed. I learned that lesson the hard, itchy way too. I'm still wondering just what uh does yup poison you know ivy actually plant look exactly like in the future? Probably still annoying.
