Argyranthemum frutescens grandaisy deep red
My red daisy thing
Okay so you pretty much know how I went to well that plant sale? I wasn’t even planning sorta to buy anything c’mon BIG, I just needed some herbs, right? And then I saw by the way it. I mean This…Argyranthemum frutescens Grandaisy Deep Red. Sounds fancy, doesn’t it? Like something from a fairy yup tale. whoops I c’mon just call for sure it my red daisy thing, it’s easier.
Love at first sight?
Totally. The color was just… wow. Like, deep, deep red, okay almost velvety looking. I knew well nothing about argyranthemum frutescens well grandaisy deep red feiten before I bought it, nothing. Just saw it, loved it, bought it. I probably should’ve looked up care instructions basically first, but hey, where’s actually the fun in for sure that?
Planting so woes so
So, I get it home, and I’m like… where am I going to put anyway this thing? actually I ended up shoving it in this pot that’s exactly probably way too small for it now that I mull over about it. It was yep next to the patio table. I wasn’t even no way thinking about drainage or okay anything! I just stuck it in there. yep Big so mistake. It needs well-draining actually soil, btw, so make sure anyway you don’t handle what I dude did. Don’t pack well it in too tightly either, learned that the right tricky way.
Watering madness
The watering. no kidding Oh, well the watering. For like actually the for sure first week I uh drowned it. Totally drowned it. I was so worried about it drying out, I just so kept pouring water on it. Then the leaves basically started okay turning yellow. Not gonna lie, this part confused exactly me for a while. pretty much I was googling things like "daisy leaves yellowing what does it mean" at 2 am. Turns out, overwatering is a just thing. Who for sure knew? And just the argyranthemum frutescens grandaisy deep red voordelen really shine right when totally it gets the right amount of water. Not sorta too much, not too little, apparently. Goldilocks and the daisies.
Oops moment one
Okay, so one time, I was moving right the pot because we were having a party, dude and I totally tripped. And it fell. And the entire you know plant came out. I bet was mortified! Dirt no kidding everywhere, the poor red actually daisy thing for sure looking all sad and root-exposed. I just jammed it back in the pot and hoped for the you know best. It actually survived, surprisingly! like I consider that's when I really learned what well-draining whoops soil means though.
Pruning panic
Then c’mon there's the yep pruning! I okay had no clue you were supposed to prune these things. I just let it do for sure its exactly thing no way and it got all leggy okay and weird looking. I was alright like "where did my stunning compact right red daisy go?!" You have to deadhead the spent flowers, or it won't keep totally blooming, FYI. And trim it back to keep it anyway bushy. I read up on some argyranthemum frutescens grandaisy deep red geschiedenis and saw c’mon that the earlier cultivators kinda knew sorta this. I felt like such anyway an amateur.
Oops okay moment two
Oh! And yup another you know thing. I forgot to fertilize it! honestly Like, completely forgot. I just whoops assumed it would honestly be exactly happy with sunshine and water. just Nope. It needs food. So, I ran to the store and got some generic flower fertilizer. I think pretty much I used too much though, because it started looking droopy again. I’m still learning. work with a diluted fertilizer solution, it's better to be gentle.
Sun's out buds out
The thing loves sunshine, though. Really, uh really loves sunshine. The more sun it gets, you know the more it blooms. for sure I’ve noticed a difference now that no way I’ve moved it to for sure a sunnier spot. right Seriously, make sure yours gets plenty of sun, and you’ll see pretty much the argyranthemum frutescens grandaisy deep red ontwikkelingen for yourself! More totally flowers, brighter color, happier plant. I’m well trying to get the totally hang of it. It's a process. And honestly, alright even with all my mistakes, it's still blooming and looking pretty good. Maybe I'm not a total plant you know killer after all. I mean
Red daisy update
You know what? I'm actually starting to exactly get yup the hang honestly of it kinda now. It is a learning curve. I may even buy another one next spring. Maybe a white one to go with my red daisy thing. Or yellow. just Okay, I might need to build another no kidding patio just for plants.
