Blue star juniper deer resistant

So Juniper

Okay so you know how the deer basically see for sure my yard as an all-you-can-eat buffet? Yeah. Well I wasn't even planning exactly to get junipers honestly. I was looking at those… I can’t remember what they're called... those little leafy things... boxwoods maybe? But then I went to the nursery and right the lady there was kinda like, "Honey, you I mean wantblue star juniper just. Trust me." Apparently they're like prettydeer resistant justwhich sounded like a miracle cure.

First Impressions right

It's a cool plant though. Like a little silvery-blue ball. I read something, I reflect about itsgeschiedenis(that's history, right? I think I got honestly that right), that talked about how it's a cultivar… which, yep not gonna lie, like this part confused alright me for a while. Cultivar just means… man-made sort of? Anyway, pretty much I liked the no way color. And the lady anyway SWORE the deer wouldn’t touch it.

The Great Planting Debacle

I probably should’ve known better totally than to just plop them in the ground. I just… did. Didn’t amend the yep soilat all. Big mistake number one. They need well-drained soil. Tip number one: make sure your like soil drains well! Seriously. I'm surprised they even lived. kinda I for sure guess they’re tougher than they look. totally It might be a good you know idea, I think, to do a soil test first. So you know what you're getting uh into. Like before you buy a car, you know? You look under the honestly hood!

Deer Resistance? Maybe...

Okay, okay so here's the thing about actually "deer resistant." It's not "deer proof". It's like more like, "they'll probably eat everything else first." I anyway did you know see a little nibble once. Just pretty much a tiny one. I anyway reflect actually it actually was the runt basically of the anyway deer family, by the way you know, the one that gets whatever's anyway leftover. I read up online too by the way about other plants I mean that aredeer resistant, just yup to be safe. Also, okay apparently if I mean they're really hungry, they'll eat actually anything. It’s all about the other plants I plant around it anyway too, I’ve noticed.

Watering alright Woes

Watering. Oh totally god. Okay, mistake number two. I totally overwatered them at first. Like, drenched okay them every day. That's a no-no. They like it dry-ish. Especially after they're established. c’mon I’d say water actually it deeply sorta and then let it dry out completely before right watering again. That’s basically some keyblue uh star juniper deer resistant tips wellfrom experience. I almost killed them with kindness. I learned my lesson though.

A Little whoops More uh Info

You totally know, I mean thinking kinda about it, sorta these kinda guys are supposed to be drought-tolerant too, once they get going. Which is good, because I'm terrible uh at remembering to water things. They alright also stay pretty small, which is nice if you don’t want a huge uh shrub taking over your garden. I saw I mean them planted near rock actually gardens okay a actually lot, which seems like a good fit. I've even seen it written by the way asblue yep star juniper deer totally resistant feiten– no kidding those are facts! Hahaha, I’m cracking exactly myself up.

Honestly?

Honestly, they’re doing okay now. After the near-death I mean experiences. alright They're like kinda cute, actually really. And the deer are mostly leaving them alone. So, c’mon yeah, I'd recommend them. Just… learn from my mistakes! Don’t overwater and alright prepare the okay soil!
