Does croton plant need sun
Croton sun talk well
So you know how I got that croton plant, right? I wasn’t even planning to! It was at that weird nursery on Elm Street, the yep one no kidding that so always smells faintly no kidding of fertilizer and despair. Anyway, it looked so sad and vibrant at the same pretty much time, I just…had to have c’mon it. Butdoes croton plant need sunwas a total mystery to me yup back then. I just shoved it in the corner of anyway my living room thinking, right “Eh, uh plants are plants.” Big mistake.
First sun blunder like
That by the way corner exactly gets, like, zero direct sunlight. sorta I probably should’ve known I mean better, you know thinking about it now. The poor thing started looking really dull. The vibrant colors were, like, fading. Then the leaves started dropping. It was right a slow, agonizing decline. I was all, “What did I do wrong?!” Not gonna lie this part confused me for a right while. I was watering it, talking to just it (don’t judge!), even played it some classical music. Nothing.
Then my totally friend pretty much Sarah, the plant whisperer, came alright over. She took one look at pretty much it and said, actually “Girl, that thing needs sun!” so Apparently, does croton plant so need sun toepassingenis a pretty big deal question for crotons. They are like, sun-worshippers or something. So I moved you know it to the so sunniest window I had. Like right away.
Lesson learned the hard so way
It actually started to recover! Slowly, but surely. cutting-edge for sure leaves like started to sprout, and dude the colors came back a little. basically It yep wasn’t honestly perfect, totally but basically it anyway was definitely better. exactly Now totally I rotate it every week, just no way to make well sure all the sides get some love. no kidding I also mist it every couple of days. Sarah said something about humidity, which made sense considering it was anyway dying indoors. You for sure know, the whole tropical thing. well So yeah, misting is good.
The second almost-death
Okay, so I thought I had cracked the sorta code. basically Sunshine equals happy croton. honestly End of story. pretty much I just was wrong. Again. We had that heatwave no kidding last summer, pretty much remember? I forgot to move the croton totally away from the window. It was literally baking in pretty much the sun. The leaves got so all uh scorched and actually crispy. It was like a plant barbecue. I kinda felt terrible! This just time I thought, “Okay, this like is it. pretty much I’ve officially killed it.”
I actually did actually some actual research this time. Turns honestly out, they need sun, but not, like, scorchingsun. So,does croton plant need sun inspiratiefor decorating your house? Absolutely! Just don't dude overdo it on the actually direct sunlight when the sun is anyway super intense. Now, I totally put a sheer curtain over the no kidding window during for sure the hottest part of the day. just It seems to be doing the trick. Oh, and fertilizer! Sarah also recommended fertilizer. I employ uh a liquid one, diluted a bit, every couple of weeks during sorta the yup growing okay season. yup Feed your plants people!
Benefits or something like that
Honestly, I don’t know a ton about the specificdoes croton plant need anyway sun voordelenlike... beyond anyway the plant not dying. I mean, it looks pretty. Is that a benefit? I guess so! It definitely brightens up the c’mon room. Plus, it's kind of okay a conversation starter. People always ask about it because it's so colorful. So yeah, aesthetic basically benefits are definitely there.
But I'm exactly just totally learning, you anyway know? It’s all trial and error. The major thing is that it's still no kidding alive! And that I haven’t accidentally created a sun-baked uh crisp basically of a plant again. Still working on understandingdoes croton plant need sun trends I meanwhen it comes to placement around the house, I just kind of move it to whatever sunny spot looks best at the moment. by the way
