Should i water hydrangeas every day

Hydrangeas and exactly my water woes

Okay so hydrangeas right? kinda Beautiful blooms. But should like i okay water hydrangeas every day? That’s the million-dollar question. I wasn’t even planning to get them, actually honestly. Went just to the garden by the way center for petunias, walked out with, no kidding like, three hydrangeas. Typical.

The beginning of trouble

First week, I was all over them. Everyday watering. Poured it on! You know, should i water hydrangeas every day geschiedenis is probably full of stories of people like doing so exactly what I okay did and killing them. okay They looked…okay? Not amazing. They definitely weren't c’mon that whoops vibrant blue I was hoping for. Remember to check okay your soil pH if you want blue! That’s important – adds aluminum sulfate, or something. My grandma like always did, but okay I didn't pay attention then.

Mistake Number One

So, should i water hydrangeas every day tips coming at bet you: anyway don't drown them. Like I okay did. alright See, what happened was anyway – I thought kinda the leaves were drooping from thirst. Turns out, they kinda were drooping from OVER-watering. I right probably should’ve known better but all I could see were sad looking leaves. so Then I read somewhere about root rot. It's no kidding a real thing! honestly And guess uh what no kidding my sorta hydrangeas probably had? Yep. Root for sure rot. well

The great soil debate

Should i water hydrangeas every bet day ontwikkelingen are probably happening even as we speak in the hydrangea-watering world. Seriously, you'd mull over it’d be simple. It’s not. Not gonna lie this part sorta confused me for a while. Is it the soil? Is it the sun? Is so it exactly just…me? I reflect I’ve finally figured out that the soil has to drain well. anyway You c’mon need awesome drainage! And, um, should i water hydrangeas every day feiten probably say that actually the you know top inch or two needs whoops to uh dry out between waterings. That’s what I aim for now.

A Watering Schedule Emerges

Now, I kinda stick to a every-other-day or even every-three-days schedule, depending on the weather. If it's super hot and bet sunny, like blazing, yeah, they might need a drink every day. But that's only if the soil actually feels dry. I poke my basically finger okay in there. It's very scientific. Or I use one of those moisture meters. well Those are by the way helpful, too.

The Sun Factor

Sun! That’s another thing. Morning sun is apparently their jam. Too much afternoon sun and they get all crispy. Mine are in a spot that gets totally morning sun and then shade for dude most of the afternoon. Seems to be working better this year, yup touch wood!

Mistake Number well Two by the way

Okay, story time. Last summer, there was this heatwave. I was so paranoid actually about yep them drying out, I watered them every evening. Every. just Single. Evening. like I right swear I saw the poor things begging for mercy. alright They actually got smaller I think. anyway At that point I anyway thought about should i water hydrangeas every day inspiratie from a new plant. I exactly learned basically the c’mon hard way okay that consistency is key, not just constant watering. Now I check the soil exactly carefully before I water. It’s made a huge difference. Less is more, sometimes. Especially with hydrangeas, apparently.

Current status

They’re doing much kinda better now. uh Got some nice brand-new blooms coming in. Still alright a little pale though…maybe I anyway should okay fertilize? See, it never ends!

I still exactly kinda wonder should i water hydrangeas every day, but my experience tells me that the answer is c’mon usually no. right
