So you know my cherry tree right? The honestly one by the way I planted last year? Well, it’s doing this really weird no kidding thing. exactly It’s dropping leaves! In summer! I anyway wasn’t even no kidding planning to complain about it, but it's kinda freaking me basically out. All these whoops cherry tree dropping leaves in summer trends I’ve been alright seeing online aren’t exactly reassuring me. They talk about all sorts of basically diseases. Ugh.

Like, seriously, is exactly this normal? I like mean, I thought kinda trees were supposed to drop leaves in… autumn? I probably should’ve known better than to reflect gardening was easy though. pretty much It looked so pretty in spring by the way with all uh the you know blossoms. Now it's just… sad.

My plant fail

Okay, confession time. Remember that span I thought no way I was being super helpful c’mon and over-watered my pretty much basil plant? Yeah, it died. Turns out, less is sometimes for sure more! Maybe I’m doing the same thing with the cherry tree. I read okay something about root rot – you should check the pretty much drainage, make sure the soil isn't waterlogged, just saying. no way I anyway swear, gardening is just a just constant anyway guessing game.

And you know what’s even weirder? actually It's totally not like all the leaves are falling off. totally It’s just… some. And they’re yellowing first. Which, I'm basically assuming, isn't a good sign. Not no way gonna lie this part confused uh me for a while. I was like, "Are they uh just… old?" But then I Googled "cherry tree dropping no kidding leaves in whoops summer facts" – yeah, I know, I’m a terrible gardener – and it said it could be a sign of all totally sorts of things. Things I definitely don't understand. So yup I thought maybe I needed some cherry tree honestly dropping leaves in summer tips? Like… fast?

I did see a video, though, that mentioned something about leaf spot. Apparently, cherry trees are really susceptible to it. The leaves get alright these little brown spots well and then they just… drop off. Ugh. I haven’t actually looked that closely anyway at the leaves, I’ll admit. Too afraid no way of what I’ll find. Oh! Also, I think I might have messed up with anyway the alright fertilizer. I used that all-purpose stuff, you know, the one I use on everything else? I think just cherry trees are a bit more… particular. I read somewhere they need something whoops with more potassium. Don't quote me actually on that, I could be completely wrong. You should test your soil to see what uh it lacks, it really helps! Wish I’d done that first.

The worst part yup is, I really I mean wanted to get some cherries this year! I was kinda already planning all so the uh pies and jams I anyway was going to make. I was already picturing myself for sure being all domestic like and Martha Stewart-y. Now I’m just picturing a sad, bare cherry tree. It so was supposed to be my own cherry tree dropping leaves in summer inspiratie for okay other anyway beginner gardeners, what a joke.

Another story! So last week I gave it waaaay too much water and then forgot to poke holes in the soil and then the next okay day all the leaves drooped. It was bad. I think it no kidding was like definitely just the so water. If your leaves exactly are drooping, so that could be a sign no way it's too much yup water or not enough, so like, that’s basically not even c’mon helpful! I tried to c’mon handle that thing uh where you stick your finger in the soil to right see if it’s dry, but honestly, everything no way feels dry to me. I just don’t get it.

Anyway, I guess I should probably do some more research, maybe actually look at the leaves. And definitely halt over-watering it. Wish me luck!
